My wife Carole and I recently to a one week vacation to Ajijic, Mexico. This is the town we plan to retire in the summer of 2021.
We went down to finish up some dental work at our new favorite and AMAZING cosmetic dental experts Dental Express.
YES, we get our dental work done in Mexico! You should try it. The dentist are some of the best trained dentist in the world. The equipment is State of the Art! Plus, the prices are incredible! I had an implant put in with a porcelain crown. Total cost: $400
Of ourse, while we were in town we decided to check out several of the Bi-lingual Private Schools in the area to see which one we might want to enroll our two little kiddos into when we make the move. RP3 will be 10 y/o and Emmy will be 7 y/o when we get to Ajijic.
We found a great school that we think will be a great fit for our kids. It not only came highly recommended by many locals with children, but seems to have the right “school culture” we were looking for. We have a pretty high standard for our kids education. All 4 of our kids are enrolled in private Christian School that uses the “Classical Education” model of teaching.
Although we would prefer our kids attend a Christian School, we found out quickly that wasn’t going to be an option in Mexico. The Mexican government dictates the curriculum standards for all schools in the country. With the exception of a couple Catholic Schools, none of the schools we visited offer any religious curriculum or even a weekly chapel or prayer time.
I guess that means we’ll be supplementing our kid’s education even more than originally planned.
Stay tuned for more updates on our next trip to Mexico in August! Adios¡
